Ōpōtiki College
Students succeed best when they feel supported and nurtured. The teenage years can present a number of challenges and be overwhelming for students at the time and it is important that we are able to not only support student’s academic well-being but also their physical, emotional and mental well-being as well.
At the College, we have a number of staff and services that are there to provide assistance to students and whanau.
Confidential support (unless there is a serious or imminent risk to safety) is available through our Whare Hauora.

The school has a fully-qualified nurse on site for 4 days a week. The nurse is able to administer basic first aid and is also able to assist with specific medical needs and concerns of students. The Nurse is able to make referrals to specialist medical providers and is also able to conduct HEEADSS assessments: Click here
We work in partnership with a number of external agencies to ensure that a comprehensive service is provided that best meets the needs of the young person.
