Ōpōtiki College
We welcome your enquiry regarding enrolment at our College and recognise the importance of your decision to entrust your child into our care for potentially the next 5 years. Ōpōtiki College vision is to provide a learning environment that enables students to develop into ‘Connected Learners, Confident Citizens: Tohe nihorau, Tohe rauariki’.
A school vision should mirror that of the community. We see our role as working with you to ensure our students (your children) are given the best education possible in a supported, caring environment. I do believe however, we should aim high and set lofty goals and settle for nothing less. Our goals are focussed on:
Gaining qualifications to open up future pathways and careers - and a bright prosperous future.
Building pride and self-confidence with our students so they know who they are and who they represent.
Ensuring all are equipped with the personal skills and qualities to not only be strong and active local citizens but global citizens as well, so they can contribute to the future well-being of Aotearoa.
Develop Tika - Responsibility, Aroha - Respect and Pono - Resilience as individuals and as community members. We have all faced adversity, but it is not what happens to us that defines us, it is how we use those experiences to grow and develop that is important.
