The Ōpōtiki College Alumni Fund has been established to provide ongoing financial support to Ōpōtiki College. The fund is invested for perpetuity (permanently) and only the income (money earned from the investment) is distributed to the College to enhance student experiences, the school environment and educational resources. Gifts to the Ōpōtiki College Endowment Fund are invested through the Eastern Bay Community Foundation who administer the Fund. This allows Ōpōtiki College all the benefits of establishing a Charitible Trust without the on-going complexities this involves.
ENDOWMENT FUNDS: Funding from the Alumni Fund will be used for the Tu Kahikatea Scholarship, as well as special projects and activities that will enhance the learning opportunities of students.
TE KAHIKATEA SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship was first established in 2016 by alumni who wanted to contribute back to the Ōpōtiki College Community. The Te Kahikatea Scholarship is awarded annually to a student who has shown commitment and effort during their time at Ōpōtiki College and has worked to improve themselves, shown strength of character and leadership.
GIVING TO ŌPŌTIKI COLLEGE: If you or someone you know would like to contribute to the Ōpōtiki College Community, and help “pay-it-forward” for the current and future generations of Opotiki College Students, this is your chance.
